Super 8 by Wyndham Evanston

The room was spacious. New sink and countertops. The bathroom tile was old and dirty. The driveway had recently been resurfaced, looks great. Unfortunately, tar was stuck to the flooring in the room. All of the items provided for use, the iron and ironing board, hairdryer, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and TV worked and were clean.

Needed a place to stay while making long road trip, staff was super helpful even with 2am last min check in time. The outside of the building looks a bit run down, we were apprehensive to stay - glad we did as the rooms inside were pretty great! Clean, clean sheets, and the beds were seriously SO comfortable. I can't get over how comfy they were and how relaxed we felt inside - worth it for the price, will stay here again when making the trip through this summer! 3 starts for location based on proximity to freeway only, the establishments across the road were very run down and "sketchy" not a ton of shopping/food options close by, but overall a great option for a much needed good nights sleep!

Gave four stars because of mildew on the wall in the bathroom, but other than that great stay. Bed was very comfortable which is very important to me because I have a bad back. Would stay again.

I was split on choosing this hotel with some of the bad reviews. Area isn't the best for having a picnic outside but it's really close off the freeway and price is excellent. As others have said, the outside looks old but the inside looks completely redone. It smells and looks clean, it's pretty quiet. Our heater worked well and we have plenty of hot water with great water pressure. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

The staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. We made our reservation by phone and arrived close to 2am. The attendant on duty was at the desk waiting for us, and the happiest late overnight attendant I’ve ever encountered. In the morning we were given a late check out so we could sleep a bit longer. The room was on the first floor, by the stairs and surprisingly quite considering that placement. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall, the best road trip motel hung my hat in. A great deal for the price!

On 07/11/2025 at approximately 8:23pm, I contacted the front desk to request additional toilet paper and was met with a rude response from the lady who answered. She informed me to call back later as she was currently assisting another customer. I politely reiterated our need for toilet paper, but she chose to disregard my request and instead spoke negatively about me to the customer she was helping, failing to disconnect the call. Her remark was: 'Don't you think it's horrible that she wants me to talk to her while I'm helping you?' A simple acknowledgement of our request and an assurance that she would attend to it when available would have been sufficient, allowing us to end the call and continue with our evening.

Great restaurant and bar across the street. Kelly bartender is a doll. Dont let outside of hotel set the perception. Rooms are very well kept and clean. Ill be back.

Loved the remodeled rooms. Amazing rate. The people are polite and attentive. The only thing I can think would make this place a 5 star motel would be for them to clean your room when you ask. We were in and out often but our room wasn’t cleaned even after we had asked numerous times.
